LANTERN PARADE & COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS Starts 6.30pm December 1st. Rotunda Square outside Waterstones Bookshop. The route will take in Birmingham Cathedral where a special candle will be lit to commemorate those lost to AIDS world wide. Special floating lanterns will be released over the city centre from here. The parade will end at Birmingham Town Hall and mark the start of the gala concert. Community Workshops will take place at ABplus from 1st November, (each Saturday 3-6pm & Thursdays 6-9pm until December 1st) where indivuals and groups will be invited to make lanterns and costumes in preparation for the parade.
